We are so excited to announce a new website that we think will revolutionizehomeschooling in our area. It’s called HomeschoolConnector (http://www.homeschoolconnector.com/).It will allow us to organize and find homeschooling classes, lessons and tutorresources for our children. We will no longer have to search endlessly in theyahoo groups for old posts about guitar lessons or testing services, etc. Wewill no longer have busy groups clogged with advertisements. Now we will have a‘one stop shopping’ to find everything we need: academic, art, athletic,curriculum and testing resources, activities and more! All are categorized andsearchable by service and location.   

There is alsoa “Classifieds Section” where we will be able to buy and sell all sorts ofitems and services with other homeschooling families. 

HomeschoolConnector is free to access. And non-business postings, by homeschoolers forhomeschoolers, are FREE in "Classifieds".

"MarketPlace"is for businesses to connect with homeschooling families to offer classes,lessons, tutoring, events, activities, and other family-related opportunities.

BUT WE NEEDYOUR HELP! We need you to spread the word to your favorite places and let themknow about the site. It will be free for local businesses to try the websiteuntil December, so they have nothing to lose. We believe they will find thatcommunicating in this direct manner with our vast, active homeschool communitywill increase their business. And we know it will help us, as homeschoolers, toenrich our homeschooling journey. 

We would liketo populate the site with homeschooling information as quickly as possible. So,we are having a posting contest in "Classifieds"! Every homeschoolerwho posts an ad in Classifieds on the Homeschool Connector in October will beregistered for a drawing for a "Simply Fun" prize. The homeschoolerwho posts the most ads in Classifieds in October will win a $25 Target gift card!http://www.homeschoolconnector.com/ 

This has been a huge endeavor!  What keptus going is our belief that our community would really benefit from a sitelike this.  We also think that it will be a great service to thebusinesses, big and small, in our area.  It feels like a win-win forus all, we hope you will agree.
